
Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy
Merryn can provide psychological assessment and treatment for individuals aged 16+ experiencing a wide range of mental health difficulties. Merryn's primary theoretical and therapy approaches include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (including ACT and DBT), EMDR Therapy, and Schema Therapy. When clinically indicated, Merryn also draws on psychodynamic approaches to inform treatment.

Merryn accepts referrals for many presenting concerns, but has a particular interest in the treatment of PTSD and related disorders, Anxiety disorders, and also in providing therapy and supervision to those in 'helping' professions.

At the current time, referrals for Eating Disorders are unable to be accepted. Referral alternatives can be provided upon request.
Clinical and Professional Supervision
Merryn completed her doctoral research in the area of clinical supervision, which is a particular interest area for her. Her research examined the effects of the supervisory alliance ('working relationship') including the importance of supervisee safety and supervisee choice as important variables in measuring supervision outcomes.
Merryn is a Psychology Board of Australia approved supervisor (including for clinical psychology registrars and provisional psychologists). She continues to provide clinical and professional supervision for registered psychologists, clinical psychology postgraduate students, and to a range of people in 'helping professions.
